Musou: continue, invest, and industrialize were different decisions

Musou's recording workflow makes the distinction visible. The first implementation showed that a coach could record from a laptop and place video into a client's session. Feedback then established that coaches wanted the same polished workflow used for workshops. Continuing meant reusing a shared recording studio across workshops, private sessions, and permanent member routines.

Real workshop failures justified a larger investment. Browser recording was vulnerable to long files, lost connections, closed tabs, and device changes. The response was layered: resumable uploads, smaller files, save-before-finish behavior, continuous local backup, manual replay attachment, server-side recording as the primary copy, and capture logs. Later hardware testing led to stable internal audio and video tracks so a physical device could be replaced without necessarily terminating the recording.

That was industrialization of a high-consequence capability. A lost hour-long workshop could erase irreplaceable work and damage customer trust. Reliability, recovery, and visibility into failure became part of the product, not cleanup deferred until later.
