Protect human signatures

Before testing, identify outputs and actions that need a person's name attached to the review. This makes accountability clear while you still have time to design the workflow around it.

Common candidates include prices, legal commitments, employment decisions, regulated communications, safety decisions, sensitive customer responses, and statements that could materially change trust. Decide which apply to your work and what the reviewer must examine.

Keep the list specific enough to enforce and short enough for people to remember. “Use AI responsibly” leaves too much for someone to figure out at the moment of use. Take the agreed review requirements into the experiment's guardrails and the human-signature page in Chapter 10.
