Week 2: Design the experiment

Use the card to agree on the learning step before starting it. Name the owner and users, scope and exclusions, primary measure, evidence standard, guardrails, and decision date. Include the baseline or a plan to obtain it, target or decision range, sample or time limit, cost and capacity boundary, and stop rule.

Choose the smallest real slice capable of producing useful evidence. If the conditions for a test aren't present, record the preparation or deferral and its re-entry condition. Begin only when the selected step has the access, permission, and participation it needs.
