Part Four: Buy Evidence — Chapter 7: The Smallest Useful Experiment

Musou: real use purchased the evidence

Musou's strongest product decisions came from concrete attempts rather than speculative requirements. Coaches and clients used the application on real devices, during real coaching sessions and workshop workflows, with real media and purchases. Their reports described the exact moment trust broke: a routine was hard to start, a signup flow blocked a buyer, a replay did not appear, a long recording saved only a few seconds, a microphone failed after being unplugged and reconnected, or a client could not scrub through a video.

Each report reduced a different uncertainty. The work then moved beneath the surface symptom: storage inspection, upload limits, media metadata, device-track lifecycle, permission boundaries, and recording-state logs.

That is what buying evidence looks like. “Users liked the demo” is not the finding. The finding is what happened when a bounded capability met real work closely enough to expose the next decision.
